Baby of Chaitanya a 4 day old male baby has been diagnosed as Late preterm, delayed transition, respiratory distress syndrome
Baby was ventilated at birth in view of weak cryand poor respiratory efforts. He also received surfactant for HMD and was extubated to CPAP after 2 days. Baby was on Dopamine, which was stopped after 24 hours. Currently, baby is on CPAP support and likely to require CPAP for 4 days from now. Baby was on IV fluids initially and now on OG feeds. 2D echo and Neurosonogram were normal.
