Baby of CH. Janaki Twin 1 is a preterm female baby admitted to the NICU of Rainbow Children’s Hospital. The baby was born preterm (26 weeks) with extremely low birth weight (670 grams). Baby is being diagnosed as extremely preterm, with extremely low Birth Weight, Respiratory Distress Syndrome, suspected sepsis, apnea of prematurity, anemia of prematurity, and unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia. Baby is being treated with a mechanical ventilator, surfactant, IV fluids and IV antibiotics, IV Caffeine, LRBC transfusion, total parenteral nutrition, and incubator care. The baby was started on NG tube feeding which was gradually increasing. IN view of prematurity with extremely low birth weight and with the above condition baby may require further NICU stay for 7-8 Weeks.

HAC has agreed to support 2,00,000/- for this child’s treatment.
